Introduction to web accessibility and digital inclusion
About Course
Web accessibility is now an essential skill for all digital professionals. It involves designing websites and applications that can be used by everyone, including people with disabilities (visual, hearing, motor or cognitive). In an increasingly connected world, guaranteeing access to digital information and services for all is not just a moral or legal obligation, it is also a strategic and human advantage.
This course introduces participants to the fundamental principles of web accessibility according to international standards (in particular the WCAG – Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). It enables them to understand the obstacles that certain users encounter, to apply simple good practices in HTML/CSS/JS code, and to contribute to an inclusive experience.
Beyond technical compliance, this module also addresses the broader notion of digital inclusion, which aims to reduce inequalities in digital access, use and skills in society. Learners will be made aware of the social impact of their work and will know how to create fairer and more universal digital products.
